As a first day introduction to IBS/IBH art class, Liz Godfrey and I collaborated to create a warm-up and ice-breaker activity to get the students involved in Art. For this activity, the students were prompted to explore the idea of Art as "selfies". Using the books available in the classroom, the students were prompted to explore art and art history by choosing a work they would use as inspiration for their selfie. Along with the digital photograph, the students had to write a brief analysis of the work using technical art vocabulary.
